Declaration in Light of Recent Events in the Middle East

"The Muslim Youth Basketball Association, strongly condemns the Zionist regime of Israel for it's atrocities and gross miscarrriage of justice being committed against the innocent civilians of Lebanon and Palestine. The current offensive by Zionist Israeli military forces which has resulted in the horrendous murder, maiming, and suffering of scores of innocent men, women, and children is tantamount to 'collective punishment', a criminal action in any court of law! We strongly urge all readers to contact their U.S. Congressional representative and demand that they work with the growing peace movement in this nation, around the world and even inside of Israel, in order to halt the Zionist march towards colonial domination, and bring about the type of peaceful resolution to the crisis that would be equitable (to all parties) while preserving the dignity and self-determination of the Palestinian and Lebanese people."
